A massive name in the Class of 2025, five-star combo guard Darryn Peterson will be taking an official visit to one school from the Big 12 Conference.
According to the Field of 68’s Jeff Goodman, Peterson will make an official visit to Manhattan, Kansas, on September 27th through the 29th to meet with Jerome Tang and the Kansas State Wildcats.
In addition to the Wildcats, Peterson is also considering Kansas, Kentucky, Ohio State, Washington, USC, and Arizona State.
Coming out of Prolific Prep in the Class of 2025, Peterson is listed as a five-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s third-ranked prospect. He also checks in as the top-ranked player at his position and the top-ranked player in the state of California.
“Darryn Peterson possesses a combination of size, length, strength, and skill, allowing him to smoothly score and make plays for himself and others,” 247Sports’ Adam Finkelstein said. “He’s a versatile threat who can operate from multiple spots on the floor and has a way of making it look effortless in the process. He can play both on and off the ball, has a very good pull-up game, is a consistent shooting threat off the catch from behind the three-point line, and is willing to bring smaller guards into the low post. Peterson sees the floor well and can facilitate for those around him. He also has an advanced understanding of how to get himself to the free-throw line.”
Prior to his Kansas State visit, the California native will visit Ohio State on August 30th. He has already completed officials to Kansas, USC, and Kentucky.
