2025 Four-Star Shooting Guard Jamarion Batemon Features Two Big 12 Teams in Cutdown List

Four-star shooting guard Jamarion Batemon released his cutdown list of four teams on Monday, two of which are members of the Big 12 Conference.

Batemon, a 6-foot-3 guard from Wisconsin, will attend one of the following schools: Iowa State, West Virginia, Marquette, or Clemson.

Coming out of Milwaukee Academy Of Science in the Class of 2025, Batemon is listed as a four-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 54th-ranked prospect. He also checks in as the ninth-ranked player at his position and the second-ranked player in the state of Wisconsin.

Batemon was one of the biggest risers in the latest update to 247Sports’ player rankings, jumping from the No. 148 spot to No. 55.

247Sports’ Travis Branham spoke on the jump for Manarion Batemon, saying, “Batemon rose the ranks due to his combination of athleticism, toughness, and scoring ability. Batemon is a fearless competitor who has an endless amount of confidence on the court. He keeps his foot on the gas pedal, giving him tremendous gravity anytime the ball is in his hands. Batemon is one you can’t let get hot because he can drill shots and score in bunches.”

While West Virginia and Iowa State will still have to beat out several impressive programs to land the Maryland native, should Batemon join the league, the Big 12 Conference will have added yet another impressive freshman to its ranks.
