2025 Three-Star RB Ryver Peppers Commits to Iowa State

Matt Campbell and the Iowa State Cyclones added yet another commit to the Class of 2025 on Sunday with the commitment of 2025 three-star running back Ryver Peppers.

Peppers, a 5-11 running back from Independence, Missouri, chose the Cyclones over offers from 15 different programs, including Kansas State, Utah, UNLV, North Dakota State, and more.

Coming out of Fort Osage High School in the Class of 2025, Peppers is listed as a three-star by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 1285th-ranked player. He also checks in as the 64th-ranked player at his position and the 11th-ranked player in the state of Missouri.

Peppers became the Cyclones’ third addition of the day on Sunday, joining three-star wide receiver Karon Brookins and three-star athlete Mason Ellens. The trio are three of the Cyclones’ 10 additions in the Class of 2025, a group that checks in as the nation’s 36th-ranked unit.

As a junior in 2023, Peppers posted 1,642 rushing yards alongside an impressive 31 touchdowns while averaging nearly eight yards per carry. The win over Northwestern and Kansas State is big for the Cyclones, as Peppers took official visits to both schools prior to committing to join the Cyclones.

Peppers will have an opportunity to watch his future team kick off the 2024 season against North Dakota on Saturday, August 31st.
