2025 Three-Star WR Tavian McNair Commits to Utah

Kyle Whittingham and the Utah Utes added a new name to the Class of 2025 on Saturday with the commitment of three-star wide receiver Tavian McNair.

McNair, a 6-foot-2 wideout from California, chose the Utes over offers from Kansas, California, and UNLV.

Coming out of Centennial High School in the Class of 2025, McNair is listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 814th-ranked player. He also checks in as the 78th-ranked player at his position and the 49th-ranked player in the state of California.

National Recruiting Analyst Greg Biggins spoke on McNair’s upside in his 247Sports evaluation, saying, “If you’re looking for a stock-up receiver who just oozes upside, McNair is your guy. We first saw him at the National Preps Camp in Las Vegas before his sophomore year, where he earned MVP honors, and we’ve been high on him ever since. He’s an explosive kid and is one of the fastest receivers out West.”

With his commitment, McNair became the Utes’ 13th addition to the Class of 2025, joining a group headlined by four-star LB Christian Thatcher, three-star EDGE Nela Tupou, and three-star LB Max Fonoimoani.

McNair and the rest of the Utes 2025 incoming freshmen will have the opportunity to watch their future team take the field for the first time in 2024 on Thursday, August 29th, against Southern Utah.
