Daniel Jennings, a four-star prospect in the Class of 2026, chose the Penn State Nittany Lions over West Virginia, per Tyler Calvaruso.
The West Virginia native also held offers from Illinois and UNLV before choosing PSU.
247Sports ranks the edge rusher as the No. 1 player in West Virginia, as well as the 27th-best player at his position.
He became the fifth player in the 2026 cycle to commit to Penn State, giving the program the 2nd best recruitment class.
Jennings spoke about his decision to choose the Nittany Lions with 247Sports and said, “I like the facilities, the coaches, and how they treat me when I come there. I am really an athlete, and I feel like I can cover and rush the quarterback.”
The rising junior will play the upcoming high school football season with Princeton High School, located in West Virginia.
Penn State and WVU match up for the season opener in 2024 for the second-straight season on Saturday, Aug. 31 at 12 p.m. EST.
Last season, PSU won at home with a final score of 38-15, so the Mountaineers will have a chance for revenge with quarterback Garrett Greene and running back Jahiem White back in action.
