Despite having a talented young roster led by Brandon Ingram and superstar Zion Williamson, the New Orleans Pelicans flamed out quickly in the NBA playoffs once again this year, with the team getting swept by the top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round.

Although many believed the Pelicans would stand a chance against a young and inexperienced Thunder team, Williamson’s injury kept him sidelined, requiring the team to lean on Ingram, who was unable to come through for his team.

With Ingram seemingly turning into the expendable star in New Orleans, the trade rumors have already started swirling heading into the NBA offseason, with the Pelicans brass determined to shake things up after failing to live up to expectations once again.

There’s no doubting Ingram’s talent as he is a versatile athlete who can score with the best of them, but he doesn’t seem to be a No. 1 option at this point, which is why he’s on the trade block in New Orleans.

According to NBA insider Marc Stein, four teams, including the Cleveland Cavaliers, Philadelphia 76ers, Atlanta Hawks, and Orlando Magic via Legion Hoops, appear to be interested in trading for the Pelicans star.

All four of those teams are intriguing landing spots for Ingram, as he would fit in nicely and potentially be the missing piece to the puzzle for the teams mentioned.

Only time will tell what the future holds for Ingram, but it’s safe to say that his name will be mentioned quite often during the NBA offseason, with more teams bound to emerge as potential trade suitors for the former No. 2 overall pick.
