The New York Jets made a big move when they traded for Haason Reddick.

He’s one of the most consistent and established pass rushers in the game, and he was expected to be a prominent part of their defense going forward.

However, it seems like he’s not that satisfied in Gotham right now.

According to a report by Michael David Smith of ProFootballTalk, Reddick hasn’t attended the team’s OTAs.

And while those are voluntary, most players usually show up.

The report adds that while Reddick hasn’t said that his absence is contract-related, he’s been open about wanting to get a new contract.

Reddick is going to make $15 million next season.

Even so, the fact that he hasn’t shown up shows that he’s not happy with his current situation, and that could only lead to more trouble in the future.

Reddick doesn’t need much time to adapt to his new surroundings, as he had 12.5 sacks for the Arizona Cardinals in 2020, 11 sacks for the Carolina Panthers in 2021, and seasons of 16 and 11 sacks with the Eagles before taking his talents to the Big Apple, so the Jets must make sure to keep him happy there before he forces his way out of Gotham.

The Jets are officially in Super Bowl or bust mode, and they cannot afford any distractions, especially not from their veterans.
