2025 Three-Star DB Deante Lindsay Commits to Texas Tech

Joey McGuire and the Texas Tech Red Raiders added a new name to the Class of 2025 on Saturday with the commitment of three-star defensive back Deante Lindsay.

Lindsay, a 6-foot-1 cornerback from Oklahoma, chose the Red Raiders over offers from seven different programs, including Utah, UNLV, Boston College, Tulsa, and more.

Coming out of Ada High School in the Class of 2025, Lindsay was listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 1120th-ranked prospect. He also checked in as the 52nd-ranked player at his position and the 12th-ranked player in the state of Oklahoma.

Lindsay is a multi-sport athlete at Ada, and plays basketball as well as runs track and field. On the football field, Lindsay played on all three phases, catching 36 passes for 859 yards and 13 scores, and recorded 51 total tackles and 5 interceptions on defense. In addition to his impressive numbers, the newest Red Raider averaged 36.4 yards per kick return on special teams.

With his commitment, the Oklahoma native became the Red Raiders’ 15th addition in the Class of 2025, joining four-star prospects Bryson Jones, Tristian Gentry, and Lloyd Jones and a cast of 11 other three-star prospects.
