With the 2024 ODI World Cup already secured due to their host nation status, India enters this series with the primary goal of regaining their form in the 50-over format.

India received a timely boost ahead of the first ODI with the confirmation that both Jemimah Rodrigues and Pooja Vastrakar are fit for selection. Rodrigues missed the recent Bangladesh tour due to a back issue, while Vastrakar’s injury details weren’t disclosed by the BCCI.

Rain washes SA warm-up match

A planned warm-up match between the Board President’s XI and South Africa Women on Thursday was unfortunately called off mid-way due to rain. Only 14 overs were bowled before the downpour, with the Board President’s XI reaching 71 for 1.
