Four-star prospect Jamari Phillips decommitted from the Arizona Wildcats on May 29 and signed with the Oregon Ducks.
The 6-foot-3 guard is ranked as the No. 52 overall prospect in the Class of 2024, according to 247Sports.
With star point guard Caleb Love returning to Arizona for his final season of college basketball, Phillips’ playing time as a freshman would be limited.

Phillips played high school basketball in Glendale, Arizona, for Dream City Christian, while 247Sports lists him as the 10th-best shooting guard in the 2024 cycle.
Head coach Dana Altman added several four-star prospects in the transfer portal this Spring, including Supreme Cook (Georgetown), TJ Bamba (Villanova), and Brandon Angel (Stanford), as well as three-star commit Ra’Heim Moss (Toledo).
Joson Sanon, a former five-star signee with Arizona, also decommitted from the Wildcats this offseason and signed with Arizona State.
Even though the team lost several players, head coach Tommy Lloyd still brought in Oakland transfer Trey Townsend, Tennessee transfer Tobe Awaka, as well as Campbell transfer Anthony Dell’Orso.
The Ducks won the Pac 12 tournament championship and finished the season with a record of 24-12, whereas the Wildcats went 27-9 and made it to the Sweet 16 before falling to Clemson.
