The top-ranked defensive linemanĀ in the transfer portal is staying in the Big Ten.
Former Michigan State defensive tackle Derrick Harmon is set to transfer to Oregon, sources tell 247Sports.
Harmon, who had visited USC and Colorado, posted 40 tackles for the Spartans last season and had garnered interest from additional teams like Ohio State, Florida State and Miami.
He’d originally been set to visit Miami earlier this week but that visit was canceled. Oregon, meanwhile, emerged as the clear team to keep an eye on with Harmon coming out of a home visit on Wednesday.
Now, he becomes the latest noteworthy transfer pickup for Dan Lanning and the Ducks. Oregon wanted to add a defensive tackle during this spring transfer portal cycle.Ā Mission accomplished now.
