Lance Leipold and the Kansas Jayhawks added a new name to their Class of 2025 with the commitment of three-star wide receiver Jackson Cook.
Cook, a 6-foot-1 receiver from Georgia, chose the Jayhawks over offers from 19 different programs, including Indiana, Maryland, Memphis, Virginia, and more.
Coming out of South Gwinnett High School in the Class of 2025, Cook is listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 1365th-ranked prospect. He also checks in as the 188th-ranked receiver in his class and the 130th-ranked prospect in the state of Georgia.
Cook is a well-traveled player in the Class of 2025, recording four unofficial visits and four official visits. Cook’s list of programs he officially visited includes Georgia, Auburn, Maryland, and LSU, while official visits occurred at Kansas, Bowling Green, UConn, and East Carolina.
With his commitment, Cook became the Jayhawks’ 12th addition to the Class of 2025, a group headlined by four-star OT Juju Marks, three-star QB David McComb, and three-star LB Malachi Curvey.
Cook and the rest of the future Jayhawks will have an opportunity to watch their team take the field for the first time in 2024 on Thursday, August 29th, against Lindenwood.
