Earlier this week, four-time NBA champion Klay Thompson decided to leave the Golden State Warriors in NBA free agency in order to join forces with fellow stars Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving in an attempt to win a fifth title in the last stretch for his professional career.
The move had been rumored for quite some time, with the destination being the only thing that was up in the air.
Thompson was expected to be a hot commodity on the open market despite his declining skills, especially on the defensive end of the basketball floor.
In the aftermath of Thompson leaving San Francisco, there have been many questions about what the Warriors will do to surround superstar guard Stephen Curry with talent in what could potentially be the last few years of his career in the Bay Area.
Although many have started to write off the Warriors as a heavyweight in the Western Conference, the team’s front office has been extremely busy during this offseason as they have tried to retool, with their latest addition being sharpshooter Buddy Hield.
Jason Dumas of KRON4 News believes that the Warriors are having a “sneaky solid offseason” thus far, and they are doing what they can do this summer to put the best product on the basketball floor next season.

Along with bringing in Hield, the Warriors have parted ways with Chris Paul and have brought in veteran forward Kyle Anderson and guard De’Anthony Melton.
Along with those three additions, Golden State is trying to pull off a blockbuster trade to acquire Utah Jazz star Lauri Markkanen, which would be a game-changer for the Warriors and might put them right back into the title-contending conversation.
