For better or worse, Stephen Curry changed not only the NBA but also the game of basketball as a whole.
Of course, those who try to emulate him and pull up from all over the court fail to realize two things.
For starters, they’re not as talented as him, but more than that, they don’t take as many shots and go through as many reps as him.
In order to be the greatest shooter this game has ever seen, Curry had to crawl before he walked, mastering short and mid-range shots before gradually expanding his range.
Now, half-court shots are just regular three-pointers for the Golden State Warriors star.
That was evident in a clip from Team USA’s first day of practice in which Curry was seen making long-range shots with ease (via Warriors on NBC Sports).
Steph range is different 😅

Some believe the game of basketball is worse because of the Curry effect, and everybody’s entitled to their opinion.
What cannot be argued is that his unmatched shot-making skills made him the most influential player of his generation, and he deserves his rightful place in history because of that.
Curry cut the LeBron James era short and made it his own, winning as many rings as James in seven years.
Now, he’s entering the backend of his career, and while some think he might not have another chance to win his fifth title and tie the legendary Kobe Bryant, it’s never wise to count out a player like Curry.
