There was an immense amount of hype surrounding Victor Wembanyama going into last year’s NBA Draft, as well as his rookie season, and it is fair to say that at least so far, he has met that hype.
The 7-foot-4 French phenom put together a productive and exciting first year in the NBA, and he was rewarded on Monday by being named the Rookie of the Year.

The sky seems to be the limit for him, as many feel he can become the best player in the world within three to five years, and this fan reminded everyone of his potential.
The potential is unmatched

Wembanyama is one of a handful of players to unanimously win the Rookie of the Year award, but this fan feels Chet Holmgren of the Oklahoma City Thunder was more deserving of the honor.
Lol. This belongs to Chet. NBA RIGGED

Holmgren averaged 16.5 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 2.3 blocked shots a game for the top-seeded Thunder, but Wembanyama put up 21.4 points, 10.6 boards, and a league-high 3.6 blocks per contest.
The Spurs big man was more productive offensively despite having mostly only a rudimentary set of offensive skills, and he is already a terror defensively.
It is scary to think how much better he will be just two years from now when he will still be a few years away from simply entering his prime.
The Spurs now have the task of putting together a solid team around him, and they’re rumored to be in the market for a star ball-handling guard this offseason.
