2025 Four-Star, Top 100 Player Kamauryn Morgan Commits to Baylor

Dave Aranda and the Baylor Bears made a massive addition on Sunday with the commitment of four-star EDGE Kamauryn Morgan.

Morgan, a 6-foot-4 pass rusher from Texas, became the highest-ranked defensive recruit to commit to Baylor in the Dave Aranda era. He chose the Bears over Texas A&M and SMU.

Coming out of South Oak Cliff High School in the Class of 2025, Morgan is listed as a four-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 94th-ranked prospect. He also checks in as the 12th-ranked player at his position and the 16th-ranked player in the state of Texas.

247Sports Scouting Analyst Gabe Brooks spoke about Morgan’s upside, saying, “High-major defensive end/edge prospect who could become a multi-year impact starter. May be able to get on the field early thanks to fairly polished play style, especially considering improvement vs. the run. Possesses traits that could lead to significant NFL Draft potential.”

With his commitment, Morgan became the Bears’ 15th addition to the Class of 2025 and now becomes the group’s headlining prospect. He is joined by four-star RB Caden Knighten, four-star WR Jacorey Watson, three-star DL Jackson Blackwell, and more.

Morgan and the rest of Baylor’s 2025 incoming freshmen will have an opportunity to watch their future team take the field for the first time in 2024 on Saturday, August 31st, against the Tarleton State Texans.
