Paul George and Kawhi Leonard ended up having a solid run with the Clippers for five seasons together.

They made the playoffs a handful of times and kept the team in title contention.

With George recently leaving for the Philadelphia 76ers in free agency, he made it a point to put a bow on his time in Los Angeles.

In fact, George even went into how he almost didn’t join Leonard on the Clippers.

According to the nine-time All-Star himself on Podcast P with Paul George, he almost teamed up with Leonard in Toronto.

What if George had joined the Raptors with Leonard instead of the Clippers?

In his lone season in Toronto (2018-2019), Leonard guided the Raptors to their first-ever championship.

The team would not have gone into rebuild mode so easily a few years later if they had gotten George to go with Leonard and Co.

Regardless, George went to the Clippers.

The team had a lot of regular-season success but made just one conference finals appearance in their five years together.

George is now looking to win a championship with the 76ers, who have not won big in over 40 years.

Time will tell to see if he can finally slide a ring on his finger after failing to do so for so many years.
