Djokovic, Alcaraz and Nadal Headline Field
The men’s field at Olympics this year may be the best ever. The top two best players ever in Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal will likely be competing in their final Olympics, and they will have to fend off the likes of defending champion Alexander Zverev and French Open and Wimbledon winner Carlos Alcaraz.
The 56 man field will also include the likes of Stefanos Tsitsipas, Daniil Medvedev, Casper Ruud and two-time Gold medal winner Andy Murray.
Murray will be playing in the final tournament of his Hall of Fame career. The Brit will only play doubles with partner Dan Evans.
Swiatek Will be Hard to Stop
World No. 1 and four-time French Open winner Iga Swiatek will be far and away the favourite to win the women’s field.
The 23-year-old also won titles in Rome and Madrid this year and will be looking for a clean sweep of the major clay-court crowns in 2024.
Perhaps the Pole’s biggest threat in Paris will be none other than four-time Major winner Naomi Osaka. Providing Swiatek’s toughest challenge at the French Open this year, Osaka has the firepower off the ground to defeat any opponent.
An exciting Summer of tennis continues to heat up in Paris, before the tennis world switches gears to the hard-courts of North America and the US Open.
