East-West Shrine Bowl Lists Shedeur Sanders as Big 12’s Most Accurate QB

In a recent list from the East-West Shrine Bowl, one member of the Big 12 Conference was listed among the nation’s top 10 most accurate quarterbacks.

The analytics used to determine the list were adjusted completion percentages, which helped Colorado‘s Shedeur Sanders earn the No. 5 spot.

Sanders, a 6-foot-2 junior from Texas, is entering the 2024 season as one of the premier quarterbacks in the Big 12 Conference. As a junior in 2023, Sanders threw for 3,230 yards and a touchdown to interception ratio of 27-3. In addition to his stellar passing numbers, the Texas native added four scores on the ground.

Sanders and the Buffaloes are heading to the Big 12 Conference after an underwhelming start to the Coach Prime era in the Pac-12. The Buffaloes got off to a roaring hot start with wins over TCU, Nebraska, and Colorado State, before losing eight of their last nine games. The group finished 4-8 on the year, good for dead last in the Pac-12 standings.

Following the conclusion of the season, the Buffaloes reloaded with some new talent through the transfer portal, but if the team plans to compete for a championship in their first year in the Big 12, the bulk of the workload will likely fall on Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter.

The dynamic signal caller is joined on the list by Georgia’s Carson Beck, Florida’s Graham Mertz, Miami’s Cam Ward, NDSU’s Cam Miller, Oregon’s Dillon Gabriel, SDSU’s Mark Gronowski, Texas State’s Jordan McCloud, Texas’ Quinn Ewers, and UCLA’s Ethan Garbers.
