By winning the Olympic Games in Paris, Djokovic has achieved a dream, perhaps the last one missing from his glorious career. His immense trophy cabinet was only missing that gold medal that he had chased and dreamed of so much over the last few years, but that for one reason or another had always eluded him.

“I could never give up on the dream of winning this gold medal, just as the Serbian people never gave up on me. Together, we believed in the impossible. Even though I may be the one to hold this medal, I want every Serbian to know that it belongs to all of us. Representing our nation is the greatest honor in the world. This medal, these moments, this life, none of this would have been possible without your unwavering support. This is thanks to you. This is for you. Thank you!”

An incredible effort that Djokovic generated, but that does not satisfy him. A passion for tennis that repays him for every sacrifice and drop of sweat spent on the court. So what future for him? Nole said:

“I feel complete, of course, with this gold medal I have achieved everything I could achieve, but I still love this sport. I don’t play tennis just for the numbers or to win titles. If I still play it is because I love tennis and the competition, I am passionate about working and preparing my body every week, to continue to improve physically and mentally, even at my age. This sport has given me too many beautiful things throughout my life, so I can only repay it with my dedication and the sacrifices I make every day on the court and off the court when no one is watching. This type of success is never a coincidence, it is the result of an incredible effort on my part and that of the people around me,” he explained.
