Oregon lands elite 2026 OT Kodi Greene

Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei 2026 offensive lineman Kodi Greene is Big Ten-bound. The four-star announced his commitment to Oregon on the 247Sports YouTube channel Monday.

WHAT KODI GREENE SAYS ABOUT OREGON

“Oregon felt like home for me every time I was there. My heart kept telling me this was the place for me and there was a very special feeling there.”

“From Day 1, they told me I was a priority and they’ve showed it in every step of the way. I feel like relationships are everything to me.”

“I’m noticing that coach (Dan) Lanning is recruiting a lot of linemen and is doing a very good job of that.  They have five offensive line coaches, which is amazing for offensive lineman.  I can go to any of them to learn things.”

“I want to get our receiver Chris Henry Jr., to come to Oregon as well.”

WHO ELSE WAS IN THE MIX

Greene had 20 offers but narrowed it down to a final four of Michigan, Oregon, USC and Washington. The Huskies were in his backyard where he grew up before he moved to Southern California and his brother, Kayden Greene, is a freshman for the Huskies. Michigan was one of his first big national offers and the Wolverines were definitely a factor while USC emerged once he made the move to the Southland. But Oregon had been a constant presence for him, with multiple unofficial visits to Eugene. His return there two weeks ago for Oregon’s SNL camp essentially sealed the deal.

WHERE KODI GREENE RANKS AS A RECRUIT

Greene is 247Sports’ No. 28 overall prospect, No. 4 offensive tackle and No. 3 player in California for the class of 2026. The industry-generated 247Sports Composite ranks him as the No. 39 overall prospect, No. 6 offensive tackle and No. 5 recruit in California for 2026.

HOW KODI GREENE FITS WITH OREGON

Greene becomes the fourth commit to the Ducks’ 2026 class and their first along the offensive line. He gives the Ducks their third offensive commit in this class, joining quarterback Jonas Williams and running back Tradarian Ball, who joined Greene at SNL. As one of the country’s premier 2026 offensive linemen, he’s another stellar pickup for Lanning offensive line coach A’Lique Terry.

WHAT WE THINK ABOUT KODI GREENE

“Greene is a massive tackle prospect who’s pushing 6-6, 290 pounds with an 80″ wingspan. He made the move to Mater Dei in the off-season it will be fun to watch him compete against that tough national schedule. There’s no doubt Greene is one of the top lineman in the national ’26 class with a very high ceiling. He has a rare combination of physicality in the run game and can maul an opposing edge or linebacker plus the athleticism and finesse to take on speed rushers in pass protection. He has very good feet and balance and has no problems getting to the second level as a run blocker. He does a great job picking up stunts and twists in pass-pro because of his mobility and is a very heady football player and understands how to play the position. At the next level, we think he can stay as a right tackle if he can continue to improve his athleticism or could easily slide inside and play guard and be a dominant interior lineman. He projects as a player who should be a multi-year starter at the college level and has a definite NFL upside to him as well.” — Greg Biggins, 247Sports national recruiting analyst
