T.J. Moore, Clemson
247Sports recruiting ranking: No. 4 WR, No. 21 nationally
Expert’s take from Clemson247’s Austin Hannon: “The ultra-talented T.J. Moore moved to campus in May, and has all of the similar expectations as (fellow freshma) Bryant Wesco — he’s just not as advanced because of his later arrival. But make no mistake, he’s going to be out there, too. Wesco was an extremely lean, 160-pound kid when he walked into the facility this winter. Now in fall camp, he’s up to 182 pounds, and is expected to play a big role in Clemson’s offense from the jump.”
As you can gather from the intel via Clemson247, Moore isn’t the only elite pass-catching freshman set to star for the Tigers this fall. Clemson upgraded its wideout room with Wesco, too, a four-star signee from Midlothian, Texas. And from the early portion of fall camp, Wesco’s in better shape to run with the 1s against Georgia later this month after packing on strength this offseason. Both players have similar builds, but Moore is more of the vertical threat with two inches on Wesco.
