The hype train for EA Sports’ College Football 25 continues to build as the game is set for a “full reveal” sometime this month before it is released to the public in July.
On Friday, college football fans were pleasantly surprised with something that almost nobody was expecting: a look at the cover art for the Deluxe Edition of the game.
That’s right, we finally have an official look at what the game’s cover will look like, and here it is.
Six athletes will grace the cover of the Deluxe Edition of the game: Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers, Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe, Michigan running back Donovan Edwards, Georgia quarterback Carson Beck, Colorado cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter, and Ohio State running back Quinshon Judkins.
It’s not exactly what most people expected after reports that only one player from each position will be used on the cover, but it’s even more glorious than most of us could have imagined. The crowded tunnel, the smoke, the fireworks, the flags, the gear, the logos. It feels like college football, and it does a wonderful job in building the hype even further.
Not only did we get cover art, but we also got a still shot of Notre Dame players entering the field of play through the tunnel, giving us a sneak peek at the in-game graphics.
Everything about this hits the high notes for fans who’ve been waiting for some sort of news to drop on the game for months and even years in some cases.
Now, we actually have a visual representation, aside from renderings, that we can point to and say, “This. This is what we’ve been waiting so patiently for.”
