Robert Bolick fell a rebound shy of a triple-double to back up an able performance from import Myke Henry as NLEX trumped Blackwater, 104-87, in Group B of the PBA Governors’ Cup Friday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Bolick had 24 points, nine rebounds and 11 assists while adding two steals as the Road Warriors gave new coach Jong Uichico a victory in his first game back manning the PBA sidelines.
Henry came up with 31 points, 10 rebounds and three assists for NLEX, which joined Rain or Shine and San Miguel Beer atop their group for the early lead.
SCHEDULE: 2024 PBA Governors’ Cup elimination round
Behind Bolick and Henry, the Road Warriors controlled most of the way and led by 27 at one point, a gap that was enough to prevent the Bossing from mounting a monumental comeback.
Rookie Sedrick Barefield tried to do the impossible during the fourth, but Blackwater dropped its second straight to fall underneath Group B.
Barefield finished with 16 points after a slow start with three rebounds and five assists, but the Bossing had very little support from import Ricky Ledo.

Ledo could only make six points on a horrendous 2-of-15 shooting for Blackwater, including seven of eight misses from three and muffing all two shots from the four-point territory.
Christian David and Troy Rosario scored 17 points each in the Bossing defeat.
