The Cleveland Cavaliers headed into the second round of the NBA playoffs as heavy underdogs against the top-seeded Boston Celtics, with many believing Donovan Mitchell and company would get swept in four games by the storied franchise.

After a Game 1 blowout, that prediction seemed to be on point, as it seemed the next three wins for the Celtics would be a formality and only a matter of time.

However, the Cavaliers came out in Game 2 determined to bounce back and make it a series before they headed back to Cleveland for Game 3 and Game 4, as Cleveland gave Boston all they could handle on their home floor of TD Garden.

Along with Mitchell, who has been playing at a very high level as of late, Evan Mobley has been quite impressive throughout the NBA playoffs thus far, filling up the stat sheet on a nightly basis.

According to StatMuse, Mobley is leading the way in the dunk department, with Aaron Gordon, Dereck Lively II, and OG Anunoby trailing him.

Obviously, this isn’t a stat that really stands out that much in terms of being a difference-maker in a playoff series, but if Mobley continues to play at a high level with Mitchell, the Celtics could be in trouble down the stretch.

Cleveland has to win one game in Cleveland in order to make this a competitive series moving forward, and after Game 2’s performance, that seems like a likely scenario.

It’ll be interesting to see how this series goes moving forward and whether the Cavaliers are up to the task of taking down arguably the best team in the Eastern Conference.
