The 2024 Solheim Cup, the biennial team competition between the best women golfers from the U.S. and Europe, gets underway at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Virginia this week. Here is our complete viewer’s guide for the tournament, including full Solheim Cup TV schedules, streaming info and starting times.

How to watch Solheim Cup

Heading into this year’s event, Team Europe is on a streak, having won the last three Solheim Cups. But all three victories were by razor-thin margins.

Most recently, Europe tied the U.S. 14-14 last year in Spain, but because they were defending champions, Europe retained the Cup. Usually played every two years, this year’s event is being played back-to-back as a result of schedule modifications due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Solheim Cup and Ryder Cups are played in alternating years, but because the 2020 Ryder Cup was delayed until 2021, the Solheim Cup decided to switch to even years to maintain separation from the Ryder Cup. From here on out, it will be played in even years, with the next Solheim Cup schedule for 2026.

This year’s event will be the 19th playing of the Solheim Cup, and despite its losing streak, the U.S. team holds the overall edge 10-8. This year’s American squad — led by captain Stacy Lewis and players Nelly Korda, Lilia Vu and Rose Zhang — will be hungry to get back on the winning side on home soil.

But Team Europe — captained by Suzann Pettersen and star players Charley Hull, Leona Maguire and Carlota Ciganda — have no intentions of surrendering the Cup.

The format for the Solehim Cup is similar to the Ryder Cup. It will be contested across three days, with alternate shot and fourball team matches on Friday and Saturday, followed by singles matches on Sunday.

Fans watching the action from home will have extensive viewing options on TV and additional options online. NBC and Golf Channel will handle the TV broadcasts, and streaming options will be available via Peacock.
