America discovers McCarty, new green talent

Between July and August he won three events on the Korn Ferry Tour, earning himself the chance to immediately move up to the PGA Tour and play alongside the best players in the world. Now, at 26 years, 10 months and 2 days, but above all in his third event played on the top American men's circuit, Matt McCarty has hit the mark right away. Born in Scottsdale (Arizona) on 11 December 1997, he won the Black Desert Championship.

In Ivins, in Washington County, in the state of Utah, he won with a score of 261 (62 68 64 67, -23), beating the German Stephan Jaeger by three shots, 2nd with 264 (-20) ahead of two other Americans, Lucas Glover and Kevin Streelman, both 3rd with 265 (-19). The exploit earned him $1,350,000, out of a total prize pool of $7,500,000, and allowed him to enter the Top 50 (now 47th) of the world ranking. With his fourth win between Korn Ferry and the PGA Tour in the last ten matches played, he dreams big. "I'm living a magical period. These have been crazy months for me, I hope to continue like this", McCarty's hope. The American, thanks to this feat, has also earned the chance to participate, in 2025, in The Masters, the PGA Championship and The Sentry.

The Rules of Golf are a set of rules and standard procedures by which the sport of golf should be played. They are jointly written and administered by the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, the governing body of golf throughout the world, except in the United States and Mexico, which are governed by the United States Golf Association. An expert committee, made up of members of the R&A and the USGA, oversees and refines the Rules every four years. The latest revision was effective January 1, 2016. Changes to the Rules of Golf generally fall into two main categories: those that improve understanding of the Rules and those that reduce penalties in certain cases to ensure balance. The rulebook, entitled "The Rules of Golf," is published on a regular basis and also includes rules governing amateur status. In Italy, the Federgolf is responsible for supervising competitions by enforcing the rules issued by the R & A, checking that these rules are observed by the Clubs, Associations and their members and managing the resulting sporting justice, protecting their interests abroad.
