Scott Vincent has wrapped up his journey with LIV Golf after a season that didn’t quite impress. He described his time on this TourĀ as valuable, despite facing some negative experiences and underwhelming performances. His last appearance in Chicago was key, and the Zimbabwean golfer is now looking to secure his spot on the Saudi-backed tour once again.Ā
He will have the opportunity to compete in the Asian Tour’s International Series, which he sees as another fantastic experience. In a media interview, the 32-year-old reflected on his LIV Golf performances, calling it a great journey and a dream come true to play alongside big names. He emphasized that every experience, whether positive or negative, offers a chance to learn and grow, and he’s enthusiastic to apply those lessons in the International Series.
“As I am reflecting, I know I must take those things that I learned forward – this is a journey. I had an amazing experience playing on LIV Golf, what a dream to play against the best players in the world on the biggest stages across the world.
I have got so much to be thankful for. But what can I learn and what can I use to move forward, progress and continue from here? Because on The International Series I still get to play golf at the highest level as a professional, and very few people do that. I need to be grateful for that.”- Vincent said, as quoted by Express.
Scott has a younger brother, Kieran Vincent, who has also concluded his time on LIV Golf and will have the opportunity to compete on the Asian Tour next week. Kieran is aware that both he and his brother have a great chance to return to LIV Golf, as players at the top of the Asian Tour standings have the opportunity for promotion to LIV Golf. The 26-year-old golfer had a solid experience on LIV Golf, even though things could have gone better for him. The competition on LIV Golf proved to be fierce, with many quality golfers competing for their spot on the tour. The struggle was intense right until the end, but ultimately, the brothers werenāt fortunate enough to stay on the Saudi-backed tour.
For 26-year-old Kieran, regaining his spot on the ‘controversial Tour’Ā is a top priority this season. He reflected on his enjoyable time with the team, emphasizing how much he appreciated the camaraderie, which made the experience even better. Kieran is eager to return, stating that if there’s a chance to get back out there, he would take it, aiming to perform at his best.
He acknowledged that having six events available; more than half a season; could lead to a huge turnaround if he performs well in just a couple of weeks. While reclaiming his place is important, Kieran is also focused on personal growth, considering how he can improve and apply the lessons he’s learned throughout the season.
Kieran Vincent’s statements in December 2023
It’s wonderful to see the two brothers competing in LIV Golf and now on the Asian Tour. Kieran secured his spot on LIV Golf in December last year and couldn’t hide his emotions upon achieving his goal. His dream was to play alongside his brother, and although he’s stepping away from the Saudi-backed tour, he doesn’t seem too sad about it.Ā
Vincent was emotional, with tears in his eyes as he reflected on his journey. He noted that he learned a lot from various golfers on this tour, particularly highlighting Jon Rahm. There’s no doubt that this year has provided him with priceless experiences, and he has the determination to make a strong comeback.
āObviously, I am excited to play with my brother next year. Itās going to be awesome,ā said Kieran.
I donāt think the tears are doing it justice. Watching my brother the whole year, and seeing how life-changing it can be, I hope this propels my career to a whole new level. I am going on a tour where you can learn so much from so many cool guys. And with Jon Rahm recently signed, it really doesnāt get much better than that.ā- he said.
Kieran highlighted how much his brother and family have inspired him, saying he wouldn’t be where he is today without their support. He feels grateful for his brother’s achievements, as they’ve helped him see what golf is really about and motivated him to chase his own goals. Kieran described his brother as one of the hardest-working players out there, which shows the level of commitment needed to succeed in the sport.
