The Nashville Predators head to the Mile High City, looking to build off Saturday’s 4-0 win versus Utah with another victory against the Colorado Avalanche.

The Colorado Avalanche

It’s been an up and down season in Colorado, but Nathan MacKinnon hasn’t lost his touch. The forward leads the team — and the league — with 29 points and 22 assists. His seven goals are nothing to sneeze at either, but Mikko Rantanen and Ross Colton both have eight. Colton is currently on IR, having only played in ten games before a foot injury sidelined him, but the Avalanche are still hanging in there.

Cale Makar also continues to drive play from the blueline, with six goals and 24 points of his own. Defensively he’s been okay though not exceptional, while the team as a whole has struggled. This has been reflected in their goaltending, where young Justus Annunen has put up the best record of the bunch — a .894 sv% on the season.

The Avalanche have a terrifyingly good power play and a subpar penalty kill, but they have by and large not been able to outscore the majority of their problems, at any strength. If they tighten up a little they have the potential to wow the Central again.

How to Watch

The game airs at 8PM Central on FanDuel Sports Network South and 102.5 The Game.
