The Denver Nuggets refuse to roll over and die.

The defending NBA champions have evened things up, proving the doubters wrong yet another time.

According to Paul Pierce, this is exactly what one should expect from a defending NBA champion.

Talking on Undisputed, the former Boston Celtics star claimed that the Nuggets showed a championship pedigree in the past couple of games, making the most of the time they had between games to process those losses, make adjustments, and get right back on track.

“This was a great display of championship pedigree basketball. Jokic showed why he won his 3rd MVP,” Pierce said.

The Minnesota Timberwolves looked significantly better and tougher in the first two games of the series, and some thought the series was a wrap already, especially considering the fact that they had dominated them without Rudy Gobert and that Jamal Murray didn’t look healthy.

Now, Aaron Gordon has taken a massive step on both ends of the floor, and Murray’s shot is falling again.

The Timberwolves are clearly a very good team, and these teams split the season series for a reason.

Then again, the Nuggets deserve plenty of credit for what they’ve done throughout the course of the past couple of years.

This team has been put to the test and doubted over and over, and they know what they’re capable of when they’re at their best.

That’s why championship experience simply cannot be overlooked.

They’ve been there and done that, and there’s no lead big enough to make them feel like they’re truly defeated, especially with a three-time MVP and the best player on Earth also on the court.
