NEW YORK AND TORONTO – The Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) has commenced a waiver period in accordance with the league’s training camp timeline prior to final roster compliance. Teams are permitted to contact and offer a contract to any of the 16 eligible players prior to 3:00 p.m. ET on Nov. 27 when the waiver period closes. Teams must submit their final rosters to the league by 5:00 p.m. ET on Nov. 27.

Final team rosters must include 23 players signed to Standard Player Agreements, plus up to three players signed to Reserve Player Contracts. Any drafted players who go unsigned or unclaimed during the waiver period will revert to their original team’s protected list.
The 2024-25 PWHL regular season begins on Saturday, Nov. 30.
