Baylor’s offensive line got a boost with the addition of South Carolina lineman Sidney Fugar.
He made his announcement on social media on Monday night.

The 2023 season was Fugar’s redshirt sophomore campaign, meaning he will have two years of eligibility remaining with the Bears. Fugar is a massive 6-foot-5, 325-pound prospect, who started in four games and appeared in 10 this past season for the Gamecocks. Prior to his time with South Carolina he was at Western Illinois for two seasons. He started all nine games at left tackle as a redshirt freshman during the 2022 seasons.
Baylor has gone heavy on the offensive line this offseason via the transfer portal as Dave Aranda is trying to get his program back to Big 12 contention following a 3-9 2023 season. Fugar joins Montana State’s Omar Aigbedion, Ohio’s Kurt Danneker, and Texas A&M’s Colton Thomasson as additions on the offensive line via the transfer portal this offseason.
