One of the newest franchises in USL League One is hoping their inaugural home kit, unveiled last week, embodies the spirit of the Florida Coast they call home.
FC Naples, which will begin play in USL League One in March, launched the kits during an event at their home stadium, the Paradise Coast Sports Complex, on Wednesday, December 18. More than 400 people turned out to get a look at what the team will be wearing on the field.
The kit, manufactured by Hummel, “is a tribute to our community and the paradise we call home,” according to FC Naples’ online shop. It’s mostly navy blue, with a gold sun peeking up from the hem on the right side of the shirt.
Three narrow gold stripes run around the sleeve cuffs, while another narrow gold stripe serves as trim on the polo collar. A gold flourish from the club crest appears on an insert at the front of the collar.
Hummel’s logo appears in gold on the chest opposite the club crest. Sponsor logos appear in white on the chest, left sleeve and lower back.
“This uniform is beautiful,” FC Naples head coach Matt Polane told Fox4Now at the launch event. “It really embodies the essence of Naples. It’s classy, it’s professional, and it’s something we can all be proud of.”
“We wanted to make sure we understood what the people of Naples wanted,” added club CEO Bob Moren. “We didn’t want to come in and impose a name or a brand. We listened to the community’s input on what they wanted from their team’s colors and crest.”
The FC Naples kits continues Hummel’s inroads into the North American market. The Danish sportswear company recently announced a deal to supply kits for all six teams in the Northern Super League, Canada’s new professional women’s soccer league, and also recently unveiled home kits for USL Championship side Portland Hearts of Pine.
FC Naples kicks off its 2025 USL League One regular season on Saturday, March 8, when they host Chattanooga Red Wolves SC at Paradise Coast Sports Complex.
