New research has revealed the golfers with the most earnings per shot at the US Masters since 2020.

The first major of the year is here at the iconic Augusta National, and all the major players will be looking to take away the green jacket.

Some players perform on certain golf courses and with the biggest tournament on the golfing calendar here, the Betway team has completed new research to find the US Masters’ biggest earners per shot over the last five years.

To calculate these numbers, the team found the Masters earnings of the competition’s star players since 2020 and then divided these figures by the total number of shots taken by each of them in that time.

Only players who had featured in the past five years were included in the study.

The results may not be too surprising to see 2x Masters winner Scottie Scheffler top of the rankings earning almost £4,000 per shot over the past five years at Augusta.

Champions from the past five years such as Jon Rahm, Dustin Johnson and Hideki Matsuyama are all amongst the top 10, largely down to the huge prize fund on offer for winning the coveted green jacket.

Other top players such as Cameron Smith, Rory McIlroy, Brooks Koepka, Colin Morikawa, Phil Mickelson and Xander Schauffele make up the top 10.

You can see the top earning players per shot below:

McIlroy who is still chasing that first major since 2014 and that elusive grand slam, ranked sixth overall earning £1,508.13 per shot.

Mickelson, who has donned the green jacket in 2004, 2006 and 2010, still ranked in the top 10 largely down to his T2 finish in 2023.
