World no.1 and 24-time Grand Slam champion, Novak Djokovic will be on the courts of the Parc des Eaux-Vives next week after he has been awarded a wild card by the ATP 250 event organisers.

The Serbian star has decided to play an extra tournament to perfect his condition before the French Open.

Djokovic gets BYE in the first round. He will open his campaign against either Andy Murray (GBR, WC) or Yannick Hanfmann (GER) in round two.

Nole’s possible rivals in the later stages of the tournament are:

Quarterfinals: Tallon Griekspoor (NED, 6), Denis Shapovalov (CAN, WC)
Semifinals: Taylor Fritz (USA, 3), Jack Draper (GBR, 8)
Finals: Casper Ruud (NOR, 2), Ben Shelton (USA, 4)

It will be the final preparation for Roland Garros to be held from May 26 to June 9.
