‘All he does is win,’ should be the mantra for Duncanville (Texas) quarterback Keelon Russell following his dominant week at the Elite 11 Finals, culminating in him being named MVP by the Elite 11/Student Sports Staff.
Russell is coming off back to back Texas 6A State Championships and has now added Elite 11 Finals MVP to his trophy case. Watching him all week, he was really special and it was really tough to find any discernible weaknesses in his game.
Workout No. 1 on Tuesday was an Opening Regional style session where the quarterbacks went from drill to drill and threw just about every ball in the route tree. Russell was flawless, showing off a tight release, smooth, effortless stroke and a ton of arm talent.
