The San Francisco 49ers have dominated the NFC in four of the last five years as they have won 10+ games and made the NFC Championship in each of those years with multiple Super Bowl appearances coming as well.

The Detroit Lions are coming off of arguably their best season in franchise history after winning 12 games for the second time ever and the NFC North for the first time before getting to within a fourth quarter of their first-ever Super Bowl appearance.

Another team on the rise is the Green Bay Packers, who made the playoffs in the first year without Aaron Rodgers and in the first full year of Jordan Love, who nearly guided them to the NFC Championship Game.

Even with how good all three of those teams might be, ESPN analyst and former player Dominique Foxworth thinks the Philadelphia Eagles are the best team in the NFC.

“I think the Eagles are the best team in the NFC, and I think that they should be the front-runners to win the NFC,” Foxworth recently said on Get Up.

Philly has won a total of 36 games over the last three seasons with Nick Sirianni as head coach (including playoffs).

Despite San Francisco having an injured Brock Purdy, the Eagles also beat the 49ers in the NFC Championship Game two seasons ago to reach the Super Bowl.

The addition of Pro Bowl running back Saquon Barkley is a big one and certainly adds to the talent that the Eagles have under center with quarterback Jalen Hurts and out wide with their star receivers in A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.

With the hiring of veteran defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, this defense has the potential to be elite too.

Foxworth’s take is certainly warranted given what this team has on paper.
