Anastasia Potapova and Alexander Shevchenko appear to be done 10 months after wedding

Anastasia Potapova and Alexander Shevchenko may be done as a tennis couple less than a year after marrying as fans have noticed that the WTA star has removed all of their pictures from her Instagram account, as well as unfollowed the ATP player.

After starting their relationship in late 2022, the pair announced engagement last September and tied the knot just three months later.

During their relationship, the couple – both 23 years old – were posting about their time together and on Potapova’s Instagram, there was a post about their engagement and later wedding. But those posts are all gone – and as it is usually the case – the pair unfollowed each other.

Potapova spoke very highly of Shevchenko and how she felt around him

In mid-2023, the two-time WTA champion acknowledged in an interview that dating a fellow player has its challenges but also noted that she and the ATP world No. 58 figured out a good way to deal with that.

“We’ve been dating for six months. Obviously, I didn’t know how it was going to work because scheduling in tennis is never easy. But somehow we’ve been able to manage it and in fact, it’s like we’ve spent every week together and we see each other a lot, which is a very good thing,” she told tennis.com last June.

In the same interview, the former world No. 21 pretty much described Shevchenko as someone who perfectly understands her and her needs.

“It’s really helpful to have someone who can support you, not just on your team, but someone you’re close to. He’s someone who not only knows tennis but also wants what is best for you. Even if I don’t play well, he’s still going to support me, so that’s very nice to have someone like this on the tour. He understands,” Potapova said at the time.Â
