From a tennis legend to another: starting from the 2025 edition, Andre Agassi will replace John McEnroe as captain of Team World at the Laver Cup. Next year the team tournament created by Roger Federer to pay homage to Rod Laver will be played in San Francisco, in California.

For me the key will be to understand and manage the needs of the players throughout the year and really get to know them so we can select the matchups that will give us the best chance of getting wins and bringing home the Laver. Cup. I hope I can build a relationship, respect and trust with the players like John has and I can’t wait to take on this role, it’s not a role I take lightly,” told Agassi to the official Laver Cup website.

Agassi will begin to get a clear idea of the event by observing it carefully from September 20th to 22nd at the Uber Arena in Berlin.
