This offseason, Colorado forward Andrej Jakimovski transferred in after four seasons at Washington State. He then entered the NBA Draft while still maintaining his collegiate eligibility, but he has decided to play for the Buffaloes in the 2024-25 season, per Jon Rothstein.
Last year, Jakimovski averaged a career-best 9.7 points while grabbing 5.6 rebounds. He helped lead the Cougars to a second-place finish in the Pac-12 with a 25-10 overall record.
The 6-foot-8 forward will have one year of eligibility remaining.

During the season-opening win against Idaho on Nov. 6, 2023, he poured in a season-high 21 points. The Cougars’ season ended in the Round of 32 of the 2024 NCAA Tournament in a loss to Iowa State.
Jakimovski placed second on the team in rebounds and third in steals and led the team in minutes per game at 33.7.
Head Coach Tad Boyle has also added Trevor Baskin (Colorado Mesa) and Elijah Malone (Grace College) via the NCAA Transfer Portal this offseason.
With six players from last season’s crew not returning, Jakimovski is expected to have a big role with the Buffaloes, who will be looking to clinch its 10th straight season with a winning record. Colorado has also made the NCAA Tournament two times in the last four seasons.
