Rublev, Wawrinka Headline Basel; Zverev, Thiem Lead Vienna Field
Russian Andrey Rublev will lead the 32-man field this week in Basel, Switzerland, as he looks to claim his third title of 2024.
Rublev will be joined in Basel this year by home-country favourite Stan Wawrinka, Casper Ruud, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Holger Rune.
Over in Vienna, the 500 level event will include Alexander Zverev, Taylor Fritz and former US Open winner and Austrian hero Dominic Thiem. Thiem will be playing in his final event in Austria.
Pegula Will be Featured in Tokyo
This year’s WTA event in Tokyo will feature 14 of the world’s top 20 players.
Led by US Open finalist Jessica Pegula, the impressive field will also feature Naomi Osaka, Qinwen Zheng and Wimbledon winner Barbora Krejcikova.
Over at the Guangzhou Open in China, Xiyu Wang will be on hand to defend her title. Wang will be joined by Polish star Magda Linette.
