In a thrilling finale among the French contenders, Antoine Auboin emerged triumphant at the Lacanau Alps Open, a first-time event on the Alps Tour calendar held at the UGolf Lacanau course in Lacanau-Océan, France.

Auboin’s stellar performance saw him finish with a total of 200 strokes (68 65 67, -16), securing a two-stroke victory over Louis Darthenay, who finished second with 202 (-14). Notable among the competitors was Italian amateur Marco Florioli, who delivered an impressive display to claim sixth place with a total of 204 (67 65 72, -12), emerging as the top Italian performer.
Florioli showcased his prowess with a strong showing, holding third and second positions in the initial two rounds. Joining Florioli in the top ten were Adalberto Montini and Jacopo Vecchi Fossa, who finished seventh with 205 (-11).
Following closely were Mattia Comotti and Flavio Michetti, securing 13th place with 206 (-10), alongside fellow amateur Alessandro Nardini, who claimed 15th position with 207 (-7). Auboin staged a remarkable comeback from third place with a decisive surge in the final stretch, marked by two eagle and a birdie in the last six holes to clinch victory with a score of 67 (-5).
Darthenay, who led after 36 holes, held a five-stroke advantage over his pursuers midway through the round, but faltered on the back nine, ultimately conceding the lead to Auboin with a double bogey on the 18th green (71, -1).
Auboin’s victory earned him a prize of €6,525 from a total purse of €45,000. Behind the leading duo were Englishman Mason Essam, American Brandon Kewalramani, and Dutchman Vince Van Veen, tied for third place with 203 (-13).
Several other Italian players secured prize finishes, including Filippo Bergamaschi in 27th place with 211 (-5), Manfredi Manica in 33rd with 212 (-4), and Luca Cavalli (amateur) in 37th with 213 (-3), among others. Despite missing the cut, Edoardo Raffaele Lipparelli maintained his firm grip on the order of merit, with Enrico Di Nitto retaining third place in his absence.
Gianmaria Trinchero occupied fifth place, Mattia Comotti held sixth, and Manfredi Manica stood at eleventh. The Lacanau Alps Open showcased thrilling competition and standout performances, with Auboin’s victory and Florioli’s impressive showing highlighting the talent and excitement of the event.
