In a recent interview on the Pat McAfee Show, legendary head coach Bill Belichick showed some love to former Arizona head coach Jedd Fisch.
After finding himself out of a job, Bill Belichick has been hanging out with Jedd Fisch’s staff at Washington and helping out where he can.
“Jedd’s got the whistle,” Belichick said. “I’m just here to watch. Sometimes they ask me to look at something or what I think about something, but it’s been great. Jedd’s got a great staff. Jedd’s done a great job with this program, and I look forward to following them during the year.”
Fisch accepted the job at Washington after helping bring the Arizona Wildcats football program back to life. In Fisch’s first year with the program, Arizona won just won game, finishing 1-11 on the season. In 2022, Fisch found some success and helped the Wildcats nearly earn bowl eligibility at 5-7. 2023 was his biggest success however, with the Wildcats finishing their season off at 10-3 with a win over Oklahoma in the Alamo Bowl.
While Fisch has some major shoes to fill with Kalen DeBore out the door in Tuscaloosa, having one pf the greatest minds in all of college football at your disposal to help out int he offseason is sure to age well for the Huskies.
