BMW Championship Odds & Betting Analysis for the PGA Event

We’re now in the second week of the FedExCup playoffs in the PGA, and the top 50 in the standings head to Castle Pines Golf Club for the BMW Championship.

The PGA Tour has not held an event at Castle Pines in 18 years, and now the top 50 in the playoff standings will square off.

By the end of the tournament on Sunday night, 20 players will be eliminated from the playoffs, while the top 30 will advance to the Tour Championship at East Lake.

Such players as Keegan Bradley, Max Homa, Adam Scott, Cameron Young, Tommy Fleetwood, and Will Zalatoris need to have big performances to jump up into the top 30.

We have the sports betting odds to win as well as to finish in the top five or ten (including ties).

We also have some more specific wager card suggestions.

Golf Betting Analysis and Favorites to Win 2024 PGA BMW Championship

Patrick Cantlay

Cantlay missed the cut at the U.S. Open, but has four Top-25 finished in a row since then, including T12 last week at the FedEx St. Jude Championship. He has played very well in the FedExCup playoffs, with three of his eight PGA Tour wins coming in these postseason events – including the BMW Championship in 2021 and 2022.

Tony Finau

Finau has seven Top-20 and three Top-10 finishes in his last eight starts. He closed out the regular season with a T12 at the 3M Open and finished T16 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship last week. This course runs long (over 8,100 yards), and Finau does well on longer courses with elevation changes.

Adam Scott

Scott has three great starts in a row. He finished second at the Scottish Open, T10 at the British Open and 18th at the FedEx St. Jude Championship. He’s sitting at #41 in the FedExCup standings, so he needs another hot tournament to climb the standings and advance.

Cameron Young

Young can frustrate sports bettors. He headed into Sunday at the Wyndham Championship a few weeks ago looking like a sure winner, but then he posted a 72 on the last day and finished T22. He also finished T61 last week. However, he’s one of the best drivers on the tour, and Castle Pines is a course that rewards that skill.

Viktor Hovland

Hovland had an amazing Sunday at last year’s BMW Championship, shooting a 61 (nine-under at the North Course at Olympia Fields Country Club) to edge out Matt Fitzpatrick and Scottie Scheffler by two strokes.

Xander Schauffele/Hideki Matsuyama

Schauffele or Matsuyama would take first place in the FedExCup standings with a win in this tournament. If Collin Morikawa or Rory McIlroy wins the tournament, then that winner would move into second in the standings with just one tournament remaining.
