Although the 2024 NBA playoffs are ongoing, the 2024 WNBA season has officially begun and the excitement for the women’s league is at an all-time high because of Indiana Fever star rookie Caitlin Clark.
After a historic run at Iowa where she became the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer, the Fever took Clark No. 1 overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft and she has generated interest beyond imagination.
Although Clark entered the WNBA with sky-high expectations, she struggled through her first two games as she clearly needed to adjust to the speed and physicality of the professional game.
However, Clark finally broke out in her third game as she showed out against the New York Liberty on the road.
The rookie guard led Indiana in scoring with a new career-high of 22 points on 9-of-17 shooting, including 4-of-10 from the 3-point line.
One of Clark’s threes was from near the logo and Indiana shared a highlight of it, via the team’s official Twitter account.

Clark has drawn numerous comparisons to Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry for her willingness to shoot from anywhere beyond the 3-point line and she showed off her range against New York.
She has never been shy to let it fly once she gets an open look and she looked far more confident taking those shots against the Liberty.
As she continues to figure things out in the WNBA, Clark should be in line for more high-scoring affairs so fans should allow her some grace and time in the coming weeks and months.
