In the immediate aftermath of the Titans securing the No. 1 pick of the 2025 NFL Draft, Shedeur Sanders was still favored to be that pick — as he had been pretty much since sportsbooks first make odds available.
In the hours after, however, Miami quarterback Cam Ward moved past Sanders and now leads the field as the -130 favorite at BetMGM to be drafted first overall. He’s followed by Sanders at +105 and Travis Hunter as a distant third at +1000 odds. No other player has odds shorter than 50-1.
What was the cause of the movement? It may simply be a matter of Tennessee’s preference between the two quarterbacks — or at least the team’s rumored preference.
KOA Colorado’s Benjamin Allbright tweeted that the Titans are rumored to love Ward. That’s not to say they don’t also love Sanders — or that Allbright’s reading of the tea leaves is even accurate — but the line movement suggests there’s been enough action or oddsmakers have enough info to put Ward in the driver’s seat.

As we know with draft season, things get silly and these two will surely flip flop over the next couple of months before the Titans actually pick, and some other random name will also pop up and threaten their top pick status. So, it’s best not to ride the rollercoaster too much. But at this point it seems clear there is no real consensus on who the pick will be if it comes down to Ward and Sanders.
