Canelo Alvarez, Jaime Munguia make weight for Saturday’s fight


Super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez and Jaime Munguia on Friday made weight for their fight Saturday on DAZN Pay-Per-View from Las Vegas.

Alvarez (60-2-2, 39 KOs) weighed 166.8 pounds, 1.2 under the limit. Munguia (43-0, 34 KOs) came in at 167.4.

The weights for other featured fights on the card are as follows:

Mario Barrios (146.6) vs. Fabian Maidana (146.2), welterweights; Brandon Figueroa (125.4) vs. Jessie Magdaleno (128.6), featherweights; Eimantas Stanionis (146.6) vs. Gabriel Maestre (146.8), welterweights; Jesus Ramos (154.6) vs. Johan Gonzalez (153.6), junior middleweights; Vito Mielnicki (153.6) vs. Ronald Cruz (152.2), junior middleweights.

The event took place in Toshiba Plaza, outside T-Mobile Arena, the site of the card.
