Challenge Tour moves from Finland to Sweden

The Challenge Tour moves from Finland to Sweden with Pietro Bovari, Aron Zemmer, Edoardo Raffaele Lipparelli and Federico Livio who will compete from 22 to 25 August in the third edition of the Indoor Golf Group Challenge.

Challenge Tour, schedule

At Landeryds Golfklubb (Vesterby Links), in Vesterby, the 20th seasonal tournament of the Challenge Tour will be deserted by many of the best players on the circuit, however the field is of good quality with four of the top ten of the Road To Mallorca (order of merit) including three seasonal winners, the Swedes Mikael Lindberg (n.

7), who will also win this event in 2022, Joakim Lagergren (n. 9) and the Irishman Conor Purcell (n.8). With them, the Frenchman Alexander Levy (n. 5), who did not climb to the top step of the podium, but who is staying in the money list area that leads to the DP World Tour 2025, from which he left at the end of 2023 after many years of militancy and five titles in the palmarès and in which he is more than ever intent on returning.

Also to follow are four of the top 20, the French Pierre Pineau and Martin Couvra, the Finn Tapio Pulkkanen and the Swede Bjorn Akesson, also a winner in 2024, who have what it takes to play leading roles together with many others, among which we remember the Spanish neopro Angel Ayora, the Scot Euan Walker, the Frenchman Robin Sciot-Siegrist, the Australian Hayden Hopewell and the Northern Irishman Jonathan Caldwell.

Without forgetting the Englishman Chris Wood and the Iberian Alejandro Cañizares, also with successes on the major tour as three winners of the Italian Open, the Swede Rikard Karlberg (2015), the Frenchman Julien Quesne (2013) and the Englishman Ross McGowan (2020).

In the Italian key, a confirmation from Pietro Bovari is expected, eighth in the previous Vierumäki Finnish Challenge. The prize pool is 270,000 euros with first place of 43,200 euros. The rules of golf are relatively complicated compared to other sports because they are played outdoors, close to nature and animals.

Respecting the rules is a basic element in the game of golf, which, almost always based on self-control and the free conscience of the players, often sees distorted results, sometimes consciously, but often unconsciously or through carelessness, due to the failure of many players to comply with the rules of the game.

In addition to the rules, golf adheres to a code of conduct, known as etiquette, which generally means playing the game with due respect for the golf course and other players. Etiquette is an essential component of this sport.
