Scott Satterfield and the Cincinnati Bearcats added a new player to the Class of 2025 with the commitment of three-star offensive lineman Samuel Paich.
Paich, a 6-foot-6 offensive tackle from Illinois, chose the Bearcats over offers from 14 different programs, including Akron, Eastern Michigan, Western Kentucky, and more.
Coming out of Glenbrook North in the Class of 2025, Paich was listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index. He also checked in as the 86th-ranked player at his position and the 35th-ranked player in the state of Illinois.
The Bearcats hosted Paich on an official visit back in March, which left an impact on the Illinois native.
“I had the opportunity to meet and spend time with Coach Scott Satterfield, their head coach, Coach Nic Cardwell, the offensive line coach, Coach Niko Palazeti, the strength and conditioning coach, Coach Peter Abrams (recruiting coach), and Coach Lyn Davenport (scouting coach),” Paich told 247Sports’ Allen Trieu. “Each meeting was over 30 minutes long. The coaching staff is extremely focused, passionate, and energetic. Coach Satterfield shared his long-term vision of success for the team, and he discussed the challenges of being new to the program in a news conference. There is deep trust among the coaches and players. It is a high accountability program rooted in teaching.”
With his commitment, Paich became the Bearcats’ ninth addition in the 2025 class, joining a cast of eight other three-star athletes.
Paich and the rest of the future Bearcats will have an opportunity to see their team take the field for the first time in 2024 on Saturday, August 31st, against Towson.
