Costeen Hatzi sounds like she has found the love of her life but indicates that it will take more time before she and Nick Kyrgios tie the knot as the 24-year-old considers herself “still pretty young” for that type of life decision.
After meeting in late 2021, it didn’t take long before Hatzi and the 29-year-old Australian started a relationship. But the story behind their romance is a bit funny one as the influencer was selling a mirror on Instagram when she received a DM from the eight-time ATP champion. And when he showed up in front of her door in Sydney, he took the mirror but also used the situation to introduce himself and ask her out.
Since then, they have been in a happy relationship and the 24-year-old now has her own dress hire business and she also does product promotion and modeling.
“I think it’s super important as a woman and as a girlfriend to have your own thing going on. It’s really easy to get lost and caught up in your partner’s life, especially if they’re a global athlete. It’s important for me to have my own life and my own goals, too,” Hatzi told WHO.
Shortly after starting their love thing, the model started accompanying Kyrgios in tournaments and they traveled together. It all resulted in the Australian having the best season of his career.
“It really is amazing because I get to experience all these different countries and cities and cultures. It’s pretty cool,” she admitted.
Hatzi: I’m still pretty young, but I wouldn’t say no to a proposal…
In December, the couple will celebrate their third anniversary. But for the influencer, the feeling is that they have known each other for way more than just three years.
“It’s coming up to three years at the end of this year, which is crazy because it feels like I’ve just met him, but also like I’ve known him my whole life,” Hatzi said.
Over the last few years, Kyrgios spoke very openly a couple of times about his desire to one day marry the 24-year-old and have kids with her. She was asked to address the prospect of it happening soon.
“I mean, I’m still pretty young. I’m only 24 (laughs). He’s 30 next year, so he’s a little bit older – but there’s no rush. Still, if he did propose, I wouldn’t say no,” the girlfriend said.

In 2022 January, the model accompanied the former world No. 13 during the Australian Open. And it was an instant success as the Australian looked pretty happy throughout the tournament and ended up becoming a Grand Slam champion after he and Thanasi Kokkinakis won the men’s doubles title at Melbourne Park.
In the rest of the year, Kyrgios had multiple wins over top-10 players – made his first Major singles final at Wimbledon – won Washington – reached three other ATP semifinals – and was also a quarterfinalist at the US Open.
When reflecting on his success in 2022, the 29-year-old admitted that his girlfriend played a huge part in it because she was keeping him happy and in good place.
“It’s been a very successful year, not only on the tennis court but just in general. I’m feeling really, really good about everything and just enjoying life. And meeting Costeen was probably my favorite moment, probably the best thing that’s happened to me – and the year I’ve had as a highly motivated and highly pushed player, has been because of her. That’s been my favorite experience,” he said in late 2022.
“I just feel happier off the court, really just trying to be happy off the court – and that shows up on the court too. She’s just the best thing ever and just makes me feel amazing, believes in my tennis and believes in me off the court too. We have such a good relationship. None of this [recent success] could have been done without her.”
Meanwhile, Kyrgios has played just one tournament since the start of 2023 because of knee and wrist surgeries. For this season, it was believed that the Australian’s comeback would start sometime in the second part of 2024. But as it stands now, he won’t be back until the start of 2025.
Asked to share an update, his girlfriend indicated that he continues to work on returning and they hope to be ready for the Australian swing.
“He’s been dealing with injury. He’s to undergo a few surgeries but he’s getting back into the swing of things. Hopefully we’ll see him next year at [the Australian Open],” Hatzi said.
